  1. Deakin University of Australia becomes first foreign university to set up its International Branch Campus in India at the Gujarat International Financial Tec-City (GIFT) City.
  2. Rare Diseases Day is annually observed across the globe on the last day of February either 28 February or 29 February (in case of leap year) to create awareness about rare diseases and ensure access to treatment and medical representation for individuals with rare diseases. The theme of Rare Diseases Day 2023 is “Share Your Colours”.
  3. Union Minister for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying Parshottam Rupala inaugurated the ‘Grand start-up Conclave’ on Animal Husbandry and Dairy in Hyderabad on 28 February, 2023.
  4. The Government of Uttarakhand is set to establish India’s first government mother milk bank, a facility that can ensure to provide the nutritional elements of mother’s milk to newborns.
  5. RBL Bank, the private lender said that it has reached an agreement with Export-Import Bank of India (India Exim Bank) under the Trade Assistance Programme (TAP) in order to facilitate cross-border commercial operations.

  15. Vishal Sharma has been named the Chief Executive Officer-Designate (CEO-Designate) of the GIL-Chemicals Business, effective as of 1 March, 2023.
  16. The Kerala Government and UN Women entered into an agreement, in order to boost women-friendly activities in the State’s tourism sector. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed by Kerala Tourism and UN Women India agreed to work towards promoting gender-inclusive tourism sites in the State.
